19.7 km woodland walk via Route midpoint · Cotswolds AONB

This Broadway loop is a proper day out, a good 19.7 km (12.2 miles) that will see you climb a total of 435 m. It’s a moderate walk, taking around 6h 35m at a steady pace, and it’s one for those who love the quiet embrace of the woods. You’ll spend much of your time on tree-covered tracks and shaded paths, making it a fine choice for a warm day when you want to keep out of the sun, or simply appreciate the dappled light filtering through the canopy. It’s a route that feels like a proper escape, a chance to stretch your legs and clear your head amongst the trees.

Around the halfway mark, you’ll reach the Route Midpoint, a viewpoint that offers a brief break in the trees. It's not a place to settle down for lunch, but it’s a good spot to pause, catch your breath, and take in the wider landscape before you continue. The approach to it is a gentle climb, steadily gaining elevation through the woodland, so reaching the viewpoint offers a welcome sense of achievement before you head back into the green.
