Alternatively there is the option to spend a day (or two) enjoying suggested circular walks from Pond Cottage taking in the Saxon market town of Berkeley and its famous 12th century castle or experiencing the intriguing Purton Ships Graveyard along the banks of the River Severn and Gloucester & Sharpness Canal. Originally 19th-century farm buildings, Pond Cottage was sympathetically rebuilt and restored in 2023, retaining its rustic character while providing comfortable accommodation. Set within three acres of private gardens, Pond Cottage sits beside a natural pond framed by mature oaks, with an English country garden, wild meadows, and an old orchard for guests to enjoy.
